Lots of pretty young things on the red carpet at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. The outfit of the evening was the short mini dress. Plenty of gorgeous legs on display. Many of the young women are not of legal age. Since I know about three, I had to go Wiki them to figure out their age. Guess I am an old fuddy-duddy as some of these 15-17 year olds were wearing clothing that 1) is not age appropriate and 2) not something that they should wear as many are considered role models for girls their age. I can tell you I would not feel good about my 15 year old looking like these kids. Enough preaching on that. The memo was to wear short dresses and high heels. They paid attention.
Jordanna Brewster
Seems like we've seen this dress before. Doesn't matter as I still like it. She has a very toned and fit body. The high heels are to my liking as well.
Britney Spears
Must say Britney Spears has really gotten herself pulled together. She looks healthy and relatively happy. The mini dress shows off the obvious hard work she does to keep her legs in shape. Very toned and shapely. She's been getting some shit on other blogs about how "thick" they look. Not so. Just strong, toned and muscular. Not a bad thing at all. And the high heels are very much to my liking as well.
Audrina Patridge
This woman has a smoking hot body. Love her gorgeous legs. I really like her high heels she is wearing but do they really match with her dress? I think not. But it works because no one is paying attention to anything but her sexy legs.
Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell rocks. So cute and sexy. A little disappointed that she didn't display her gorgeous legs but I'm kind of glad she wore what she did as ugly as it appears. Maybe, just maybe, she was one who had half a brain and decided that wearing something that was more modest would be more appropriate to an event where so many kids would watch and attend. I think she is sending a good message regardless of the intent. Love the high heels BTW. She always makes a good choice there.
Ashley Tisdale
Ashley Tisdale has long and beautiful legs. Staying with the theme her mini dress was short and cleavage enhancing. She always does a good job with the high heels.
Jennifer Morrison
Jennifer Morrison is definitely a favorite. Slim and tight body. She's always very stylish. Her dress is short without being raunchy. Love the top as it is sexy without being too revealing. Very summer like and very appropriate. And the high heels are modest yet very nice. Perfect.
Kristen Stewart
Not even close to being a fan of this. Ugly outfit. I realize the unfortunate hair cut is for a movie she is doing, but this isn't working for me. Plus her legs have zero definition. Skinny legs do not equal sexy.
Hayden Panettiere
Hayden Panettiere still interests me. She gets prettier as she gets older and more mature. She has a rocking body and always does a good job decorating it. Love the high heels she mounts herself in. They really show off how toned her legs are.
Vanessa Hudgens
Still not a fan of Vanessa Hudgens. Maybe I'll get there one day if she keeps her legs in shape like they are now. I have to say though that I love her purple suede high heels below. A lot. My favorite shoes I've seen at this event.
Fergie
The most gorgeous legs at the event. Toned and shapely. And whattya know, she is wearing purple suede high heels too. Smoking hot.
Ashley Greene
What the hell is covering Ashley Greene's boobs? Ugly skirt too. The high heels just barely pass muster as well. At least the height and color are to my liking. Could be a lot better.
Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester has incredibly gorgeous legs. She really got lucky as I don't see her putting in a lot of effort in keeping them in shape. Good genes and age will allow her to coast by on natural ability alone. And luckily she typically does a great job of decorating herself and always seems to be willing to show off her legs. Particularly as she mounts herself in towering high heels. This is some good work.
In closing, I must say at some point in the next few years I will be discussing young women like Myley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Miranda Cosgrove. These are some girls that I came across as I was weeding out the photos from the event that seemed very pretty. As it is now they are too young to make objectifying comments about. I have to ask: Why on earth is Cyrus wearing a micro mini skirt. Seriously?
High Heels of the Day
Suede just gets me going. I saw a couple of nice styles above and thought I see what else I could find. I really like these two-toned suede high heels. Sexy slingback with a slight platform rocking a 4.5" heel. Not many woman have the courage to wear multi-colored shoes. Too bad as they are an eye-pleaser.
